A psychologist consultation helps you gain a better understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns while finding effective ways to cope with a wide range of mental health concerns. A psychologist provides support in managing emotional difficulties, stress, and major life changes, as well as in achieving personal growth and improving overall well-being.
Our clinic offers consultations with both psychologists and a clinical psychologist. A clinical psychologist is a licensed healthcare professional qualified to assess mental health conditions, conduct psychological assessments and diagnostics, and provide evidence-based psychological interventions. When necessary, the clinical psychologist works closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centred care.
All of our psychologists hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology and regularly participate in continuing professional education and specialised training. This enables us to provide modern, evidence-based, and high-quality psychological care.
When should you see a psychologist?
We recommend booking an appointment with a psychologist or clinical psychologist if you experience:
- Anxiety, excessive worrying, or panic attacks
- Stress, burnout, or a high mental workload
- Low mood or symptoms of depression
- Sleep difficulties
- Difficulty managing emotions
- Grief, loss, or traumatic experiences
- Relationship or family problems
- Low self-esteem or lack of self-confidence
- Difficulty adjusting to major life changes
- Problems with attention or concentration
- Other concerns affecting your mental well-being
You do not need to wait until your difficulties become severe before seeking help. Early psychological support can often prevent problems from becoming more serious and improve your ability to cope at work, at home, and in everyday life. Seeing a psychologist can also be valuable for personal development, greater self-awareness, and maintaining good mental well-being.
What happens during a psychologist consultation?
During your first appointment, you and your psychologist will discuss the reason for your visit, your previous experiences, and your expectations. Based on this conversation, your current situation will be assessed, and together you will develop a plan that reflects your individual needs and goals.
If appropriate, psychological assessment methods or standardised tests may be used to gain a more comprehensive understanding of your mental health and functioning. All consultations take place in a safe, supportive, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where you can speak openly about your concerns.
An individualised approach
Every person is unique, which is why each counselling or treatment plan is tailored to the individual’s specific needs. Some concerns may be resolved within a few sessions, while more complex or long-term difficulties may require ongoing support over a longer period.
If, during the psychological assessment, it becomes clear that additional evaluation by a psychiatrist or medication may be beneficial, you will be referred to a psychiatrist when appropriate. Close collaboration between the specialists at our clinic ensures coordinated, comprehensive, and continuous mental healthcare.
